KM HID Issues with M1 Macbook Pro through CalDigit TS4?

KVM Model:

4-Port KM Switch with USB SYNC, Serial Control, & Remote

USB Interface (5-gigabit or 10-gigbit):

Problem:

I have the KM Switch connected to 4 devices:
1: M1 Pro Macbook Pro, connected through CalDigit TS4 dock
2: Windows PC
3: Windows PC
4: IPad Pro, connected through a USB C dock

Peripherals:
Logitech MX Master 3s (Bolt dongle)
Asus ROG Azoth (Wireless 2.4ghz dongle)

When I have the peripherals connected via the HID ports on the KM Switch, the Macbook does not recognize either. All 3 other devices worked fine.

I tried moving both dongles to the USB 3 ports - the Macbook was able to recognize them
I also tried connecting the KM Switch directly to the Macbook with a little USB A to C converter instead of going through the TS4, and the Macbook was able to recognize the peripherals (connected to the HID ports)

I’m guessing the problem exists with the combination of the TS4 dock and the HID ports on the KM Switch.

Is this problem something that is even solvable?

that’s in the faq. use the thunderbolt port on the cal digit dock into the kvm. that’s still shared bandwidth so depending on your display config and how much USB bandwidth you need it might still be better to directly connector be Mac but

Apologies, I missed that part of the FAQ - Can confirm plugging into one of the thunderbolt ports on the dock fixed the issue. Thank you!
