Update: drive was bad. New drive works on the slimsas gen 4 port on the MB (using a u.2 cable), tbd on making it work on the microsata cables gen 5 pcie card.
I’m trying to get a Kioxia cm7-v to work correctly on Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WIFI, and I’m running into all kinds of problems. I’m hoping for some suggestions. Here are the results so far:
microsata cables gen 5 pcie card [PCIe x4 with Redriver to MCIO 38P PCIe GEN 5]: unreliable drive/errors/slow; random drive failures. Slow like under 1GB/sec.
Slimsas 4x pcie 4 cable from the MB: no drive detected at all.
PCIE 4 to U.3 adapter card in slot G4_1: slow, hwinfo shows only 1 lane in use. 1.8GB/sec data transfers.
I’m about to give up on this drive and send it back (server supply). But first I thought I would see if anyone has had some luck on the ASUS Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WIFI with this drive.
