Kingston HyperX 3K not showing up?

I have just got the Kingston HyperX 3K in the mail today, I ordered it because of how Logan talked so highly of the SSD. I installed it within 2 hours of it arriving because I was really excited, but I ran into a problem. In my boot menu, I can see all 3 of my drives, but I can not see it in my OS. Only my 500GB HDD and 1.5TB HDD are showing up. I will list all my specs below to see if anything could be going wrong but I don't see anything that could be restricting use on my rig, but I am not a computer expert. I am also looking to Install Windows 8 on the HyperX, but at the moment I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, I own Windows 8 though.

I didn't include the 1.5TB Samsung 5400RPM Drive I have, not sure if that makes a difference. Also, wanted to mention that all the SATA cables I am using are SATA 3, or 6GB/S.

EDIT: Looking to maybe install Windows 8.1 Preview if I get the drive working with Windows 8 first. Not sure if there will be any driver issues.

check your cables. it doesn't snap snug on the drive. it's probably not formatted. go to disk management, also look to see that it shows up in bios.. if it shows up in bios unplug all your mechanical drives and change your bios settings to AHCI and install windows from a disc/jump drive on the ssd... i'm sure it works. ;] also be sure to google and read about "AHCI"...

Well, before I saw this answer I was able to install Windows 8 with just the HyperX 3K and the USB and after installation I had issues with my Product code not being accepted, so I decided to go with the Windows 8.1 Preview to try it out and have some "registered" software for a bit, while I was fixing out my Windows 8 Key issues. With your method can I have all 3 of the HDDs plugged in and running at the same time? With this method I can only have 1 at a time, with my USB, after wards I think I can set up the 1.5TB as a Steam library and Media drive.

You can't plug in a new storage device, and have it work off the bat. djblackskull is right.

Right click the "my computer" icon, then click management. You'll find storage devices listed in the tab.

You have to assign a letter to the drive and format it. Pretty self explanatory when you get to that part.

Keep all your storage devices plugged in so that you have windows running

Thank you, the next time that I launched windows after listening to both of you all 3 of my drives showed up, and I was ready to go. I am about to install the Windows 8.1 Preview and see how Microsoft improved that god awful software. Thanks again Berserker and djblackskull for the help!

It'll show up, but make sure you format it, to get the functionality. A HDD has to have a path defined

E.g   E:\    D:\     G:\

I'm sure you have seen different drives use different letters.
