I need a new Android device for cheap. I bricked my Droid DNA due to the new RUU, and the people at XDA say that it's possible to JTAG it. Point being the new quad core Kindle fire HD6 caught my eye. The lower res than my DNA disappoints mea nd the screen size doesn't bother me. My question is would it be better if I JTAGed it or if I replaced it with this. Other options are also welcome. In the future I'd like to use Fedora Mobile or Ubuntu Touch on it as well.
