Hello! Now I have killed my headset (right after black friday) and I want some real headphones this time and a separate mic. I know they made a video about it a while ago but things change and gets updated or out dated, prices can drop ect.
I have a very standard motherboard, so I have no need for 7.1 headphones and such. My budget is about 100-130$ possibly higher. I would prefer if it have a detachable cable as my last 2 headset have broken just there and I would like to avoid it in the future. I dont travel around with it so they dont have to be slim or very portable. I sit very long hours so comfort can be taken in to account but sound first hand.
I play alot of games such as CS:GO, LoL, BF4, EU4 and over all FPS. But I listen to a lot of music as well, mostly metal like, CoB or Decapitated. I like bass but not overwhelming I have never had some “good” headphones so I have nothing to compare with. My former were Turtle Beach Ear Force Z11 and before that there were some cheap logitech.
I also live in Sweden so a lot of things might not be available here and prices are usually higher than in the US. But that is easer for me to tell you afterwards, if thet are accessible or not.
I am using a pair of AKG 553 Pros from massdrop as my headphones and a Rockdand Logitech USB mic on the same set up as Logan.
It is a good sounding mic I am told. I knew they were supposed to be decent and I was using it for a bodge while I got another better one, but when I mounted itnup in the arm with the popfilter and shock mount everyone said it was better than any headset before so it passes and I kept it.
Edit: Side note. The AKGs are closed with a wider soundstage, they sound more like semi open back. In would recommend a semi open back set of headphones as I have noticed with these that I am completely removed from any outside noise, like people entering my room.
I've been using some Grado prestige SR80-e headphones, not really about them though as they are very minimal. More for the mic, which is a mute-less mono modmic which is worth every dollar if you want to go for a good pair of headphones that aren't "gaming" standard. obviously this is only for if you want an attached mic, there are some very good standing mics.
Most importantly don't panic. Think of any evidence that can be used against you in a trial and work backwards to try and eliminate any evidence you can without invoking further suspicion. If nobody is aware of the deed then you can also try to dispose of the deceased electronics. Is there a river nearby and can you remove any fingerprints or hair that may be on them???
