Killed my console, built a Work/Gaming rig

I used to build PC's about 7 years ago and really enjoyed it.  After some serious health issues I sort of got out of it and went over to the PS3 exclusively.

After sorting out my personal stuff and years of over-promised and under-delivered gaming experiences on the console I was looking forward to the PS4 coming out.

But after some serious thought I realized I need a new machine that could handle my photography and graphic design needs as well as video rendering.  But I also wanted a nice gaming rig.

At the same time as building my PC I purchased a PS4 and played what was available for it at the time.  And while I realize it isn't for everyone, I much prefer the PC experience.  I since have sold the PS4 and am really enjoying everything PC.  I can play the games that I want to and also be productive with my work.  Call me crazy but I like the idea of being a producer and not only a consumer.

Just wanted to say thanks to the folks at Tek Syndicate as I have watched a ton of their videos and used the forums a bit to help narrow down what parts I wanted in my build.

I realize some folks would have gone about this build a bit different perhaps but this is what I wanted and I will be building another PC for my 10 year old who has expressed great interest in having a PC now and probably one for the wife...and probably a backup workstation...and yea I can this going on for a long time lol.

PSU is a little overkill but otherwise a great rig.

I have a green C70 and matching M65 as well. And the Z77 version of the board. And the DT990 Pro headphones. Good choices.

Thanks guys :)

Yeah Im liking the C70 Case, thinking about doing some airbrush work or something on the solid panel side.  And yeah the 990's are awesome aren't they?  Super comfortable and love the semi open cans.

i think is good to have spare watts.

Really nice part picking and rig in general.Nice job on the vid too

Thanks very much, I appreciate that.

Yeah I know ,but I'm planning on dropping one or two GTX 780s or 780TIs in there later this year and just let my daughters upcoming apu pc build absorb the current 770 I'm using.  So I just wanted to make sure I have enough to cover future add ons.  I dunno, might still be overkill.  Been out of the build game for a little while, having to build and learn on the go, which although sometimes a bit more expensive is still fun.
