I’m finally planning out my home network upgrade, replacing wireless APs, POE switch, and a router. This time, I’m moving my home servers and NAS to a different physical location separate of the networking hardware. I would like to use keystone couplers to keep everything clean looking which should make my wife very happy.
Community Questions:
-
For home use, is there any reason to prefer punch down over male-to-male keystone couplers for 6 x 2.5Gb POE+ and 1 x 10Gb POE++?
-
Are there particular brands or styles of keystone couplers that are better than others?
Note: I’m not set on the 10Gb POE++ connection — I can easily use a 50ft SPF+ cable and an external PSU if need be, but it won’t look as nice.
