I’d like to get my kids customizeable keyboards. I know there are lots of keyboards on the market with hot-swappable switches, but are there any that have modular/replaceable chassis? So, if, for instance, they want to replace a black chassis with a blue one?
The important thing here would be budget and I guess age. Since you said kids, I’d imagine it was small, but there are some good cheap(er) mech keyboard kits and building them together with the kids could be fun. They are HIGHLY customizable.

I used to see Varmillo lots of chassis being sold on the old massdrop site (now Drop) maybe have a look at them? I do not know if you could actually mix and match them. AFAIK there is no ecosystem/brand that can do this. Even Keychron parts with all their releases models arent really modularly swappable. Your best bet would be a DIY first solution and wade through something like Hackaday
