Hi guys,
I'm running a version of windows that I bought in england. That means the default keyboard layout is the UK version (with the @ symbol over on the right somewhere etc.). I Have a quickfire rapid that has the American layout (which I prefer), so naturally I fiddled around and changed some options so that the new default keyboard layout was the American one. Before change if I held shift and pressed they '2' key I would get inverted commas, after the change I get the @ symbol (which is what is printed on the keyboard.
Following?
I hope so :P
So the issue I have that I didn't have before is that in some applications (I've noticed it in minecraft chat, typing in this website, visual C++ anda few other places) I have to press another key after pressing the apostrophe key to get the apostrophe to appear. When i type stuff inside quote marks (apostrophes) I have to press space twice to get the end apostrophe to appear. If I put an apostrophe and then try and type a C i get this: ç Not useful.
My question is: is there a setting that will make the keyboard input an apostrophe as I type it, not on the next keypress. Right now it seems to be optimised for foreign users so they can get accents and stuff easier but it's pissing me off. Please ask for re-explanations it you don't get what I mean, but I appreciate help.
Thanks
