Is there a retail store near or in NYC that has sample keyboards with all the switch types to test so I know what i want to buy? I've only felt brown and blue but I want to try them all before buying! Maybe even some topre if it feels good and is cheap (that's what he said lol).

Cooler Master will sell you this Key Switch Demo Board http://www.cmstore-usa.com/mechanical-key-switch-demo-board/ for $15 and then will give you $15 off your purchase of a mechanical keyboard from their online store. I recommend doing this. Then you can let your friends give it a try if they ever ask the same thing.
If that thing was hooked up to a PCB it would make for a fun quick and dirty macro board.
