I keep a lot of crap I’m working on on my desktop, and group related files together so I can quickly find them. This generally is fine , but occasionally I’ll plug or unplug a monitor, and change resolution to use my TV at 4K… And KDE decides my icons need to be at the top of the screen again.
On Windows, I used to use Fences (from Stardock) for this. I don’t necessarily need to use boxes like it did, but that’s the sort of thing I’m wondering if exists… Or just some suggestions I guess. I don’t know 
I guess worst case, does anyone know where KDE stores the icon layout and whether it can be backed up easily?
