This was really one of the bands that got me into metal back in the day. I heard The Fourth Legacy and thought "omg heavy" and the fantasy themed lyrics made me know that it would be one of those "special" bands that the general population won't listen to.


Needless to say, I am not a huge power metal fan, double bass drumming and pussy guitar work doesn't really do anything for me. But this band is one of the few exceptions, probably because of Roy Kahn's clean & melodic vocals were so unique and fun. If I try I can sing like him too, but only when noone else is looking.

I hate that Dragonforce and Sonata arctica is the definition of Power Metal nowdays. There are actually some good bands out there. Helloween, Blind Guardian and gamma Ray are exellent bands who mix speed metal and power metal.

Yeah Kamelot is great. One of the only Power metal bands I listen too. I can't stand dragonforce, mercenaries, etc. I like Sonata Arctica tho :P

All of it just reminds me of dragonforce, then I rage. lol
