Did they consider switching to Xfce or maybe cinnamon rather than going with Gnome 3?

The desktop environment is hardly what's interesting with Kali. The toolset is what's important, and that seems to be up to snuff.
I was wondering when the updated version was going to come out. Prepare to be on the NSA watch list....again.
I'd be surprised if users of TekSyndicate isn't on the NSA watch list already. We're discussing such heinous things as Linux here after all ;)

Indeed, I just thought that since you often run Kali in a VM it would be better with a more light weight DE. I have sometime experienced lag with Gnome 3 in VMs.
