Is there a way to buy the k95 RGB switches, Have a few of the lights die on my K95 or become dim. I feel like I could fix it if i could find the switches. Can you buy them, I know corsair dose not have replacements they sale. Anyone know where to get them? or are they just not sold?
AFAIK the LED isnt part of the switch. That said, I dont know exactly how the corsairs are set up. I did replace one of the RGB leds on my blockwidow chroma after blue died on one key. It was pretty straight forward. I bought some switches with LEDs from ebay. The razer ones are a little different in that you can access the LED without desoldering the switch. I know this is not the case for my k70. I have not had it apart to see what you would need, or if you could get away with using any old RGB LED.
Alright I will look into this, I will have to see how hard it would be in the cherry switch to just change the LED that is dead, I honestly did’t think about this as a solution, Thanks.
I think you’ll still have to desolder the switch but hopefully its a standard style LED that you can order from ebay or something. I would be interested in your findings once you do get the switch off because I might have to do the same one day.
Depends on what specific switch type you need. Cherry MX switchmodules can be bought on Amazon.
Should you be living in Germany, you could buy MX switches them from Reichelt
Would recommend taking a some measurements at the PCB. For one to make sure you get replacement LEDs that fit the voltage, and to make sure it is the LEDs fault and not some transistor.
