Upon purchasing my nice shiny new K70 RGB keyboard, I wanted to but the burning earth keycaps from epicpants. I have been scared away, however. I have been scared away by reading all over the web that the keycaps aren't of standard size for some caps? I specifically wanted to change my Super keys to Burning earth, and I read in multiple places that it isn't a standard R1 1x1.25 keycap. Is there any chance that someone can provide more definite clarity on this?
I would certainly have done this all myself if I could, but I've just had a heck of a time trying to figure it all out. On epicpants, it says that it is compatible, but I would hate to order a pair, to have them come out too big to use. Also, if there happens to be some knowledge on back-lit compatible keycaps that aren't fully translucent (i.e. laser etched or the like) That would also be greatly helpful, as I have considered customizing a few of the other keys as well, but don't want to lose my back-lighting, that is after all why I got the RGB variant :P
In will check up the super key size tomorrow, but for shine through caps Massdrop gets some through every now and then. Double shot ABS with clear letters for led lights and some times PBT double shot.
Sorry about the delay I lost this completely. It is just a standard 1x1 size key like all the letter keys are. SO the burning earth will fit fine but will not shine through as it is not a clear cap.
Most Super/WIn keys are 1x1.25 size, the corsair ones are 1x1 which is not standard to most layouts. Thats why people were saying it is not standard.
Just to clarify further, the Control and Alt keys either side of super are 1x1.25 for comparison.
Ahhh, okay. That makes sense :3 I will most likely still get a pair of the keycaps to hold me off until I can find a solution for an unbiased superkey solution that will shine through, and also be relevant to my interests. I appreciate you looking into that for me, I should have been simple, but I just wasn't sure, and didn't want to make any silly mistakes because I was new.

If you want to get lots of info the deskthority wiki has lots of info, though it may be a bit over whelming at first. Key caps are some times hard to track down especially shine through ones. But as above massdrop gets them in every now and again.
