I just picked up a k65 rgb keyboard from corsair and i installed the software for it but it prompts me to download the firmware but every time i try to download it, it fails, anyone have similar issues/solution?

Don't know anyone that isn't having issues with the rgb series the software is horrible. The older versions of the software will ask for a firmware update every time you load the desktop .. Kind of surprised by all the "amazing reviews" the series is getting considering it takes up 200mb of ram and adverties onboard memory but hasent been usable since release
