Just replaced my thermal grease

i just replaced my thermal grease from that stock intel crap to AS5

and i think im being a little paranoid but the computer seems to be a bit less responsive and slower it might just me being paranoid

i cleaned all the dust from the heatsink omfg that stuff started to crawl

and used rubbing alcohol to remove the old stuff

i added the new AS5 with a plastic bag over my hand rubbed it

after i finished i was putting the heat sink back on fuck you fucking fucking dumb fucking idiots intel you stupid fucking nut jobs fucking push fucking pins

stock heat sink was a bitch to install my uncle mad it seem so easy <.<

so i press the power button and everyting is fine and i check my temps here they are

my heatsink fan is running at a higher rpm than usual...

the temps are changing from 20 C to 35ish rapidly...

you think i should jsut wait for it to burn in

im acting so fucking paranoid

Neega hasn't heard of non stock cooling/ heat paste burn in/ heatsink lapping.

first

it takes a week to burn in

second

cpu temp and core temp are two totally different things..

i have heard of those just dont have money right now for an aftermarket heatsink

and yes i know about burn in time just dont know how long its supposed to take exactly and yes i know the temps are totally different im just paranoid

You must be one poor mofo to not afford $26 plus shipping.

Intel pins are shit easy. I didn't even look up how to do them, and when the HS arrived I was like "Oh, so I don't have to screw shit in?". What you do is put the pins in locked position. Insert firmly (What she said) looking for click. Don't force it (What she said) cuz my HS pins may be a little different, so let me know. Otherwise, leave pins alone.

You only turn them into 'Unlocked' to take it out, not put it in.

rofl im saving up for a q6600 and a 750i board lol with a zerotherm nirvana

the stock intel heatsink was a bitch to install but it wasent as hard as people made it seem i bet they arent following the directions i found out i was doing it wrong because i didnt have it clock wise but after that its really easy

dude you seriously are just being paranoid, dont even worry about it. if you really need temps now go look at your bios.

also, zerotherm nirvana is ok... but i mean, the REAL beasts of cooling is zalman. get the 9700 it pwns

yah i guess i am being paranoid its definitely running cooler than that crap lets see what happens when it burns in

W00T im getting a Zerotherm Nirvana with some AS5 and AS cleaner/purifier for Christmas

u count that as a Christmas present lol

yer why not?

lol no just wondering i cound a graphics card as a christmas present thermal grease and a heat sink and purifier is lore like a side gift

Moral of the story: We don't give a shit if your Intel stock heatsink is giving you bad temps when you don't let the thermal paste burn in.

lol prime95 that bitch!
