Just realized OC'ing doesn't matter much right now

^ It's true that certain processors have different instruction sets (e.g. AVX2, SSE), however those are enabled at compilation. There's no sane commercial software vendor out there which releases processor dependent software AFAIK.

I find the benefits of overclocking a 4 core processor very tangible if your vided card is high end, more cores than that though (so you can have 4 dedicated 100% to gaming) the difference is much less noticeable but it's still there.
