I just ordered an 8350, I can't wait to get it, right now I am on socket 1366 so I have not SATA 3 and no USB 3.0 I decided to go with the Gigabyte 990FX UD3 for my motherboard.
I was planning to get a 3570K but after Logan's video I decided to return to AMD

Nice! What graphics card are you getting? I saw the video as well, I'm having a hard time believing it. lol I would love to throw some bench numbers back and fourth to compare. I have a 3570k and a 7970 ghz.

Right now I have a 6950 flashed with the 6970 BIOS, I plan to upgrade once the 8000 cards come out.
I also use VMs alot so having the extra cores will help
What happens if he was wrong? I'm super excited and hope he is right but. How could one guy get test results that are so different from everyone elses? I mean lets say logan is completely right. That means the methodology for all those other sites is completely wrong or flawed in some way. Is it possible, sure it is but its not very likely. I havent seen any other benchmarks that back up what he found.
Yeah, I agree. Heres what gets me. When he did the trine 2 bench maxed out with a 7870 and a 3570k @ 1080p he got around 38.8 fps. With the 8350 he had 58 fps.
My 3570k and a 7970ghz averages around 80fps maxed 1080p. So is my 7970ghz twice as fast as a 7870......Hell no. One of my best LAN buddys has a 7870 and its always fairly (within 10- 20) close to the same fps.....even when i dont want it to be. lol
I need to get Trine 2.. game actually looks pretty bad ass
