Just How Horrible Are The American ISPs?

Like, sure I've heard that most of them are terrible (especially Comcast), but just how terrible are they?

Since I'm not a native American, I'm just kind of curious, like how are the data plans/monthly fees?

My comcast plan costs $117 a month for 150 channels of TV, and 25Mb of speed. Soon they are going to be adding data caps of 500GB a month to all plans. Yes, a cable internet provider adding data caps to internet.

dude, comcast is basically the Umbrella corporation level of evil. I f**kin hate them. But where I live there are no alternatives except maybe satellite internet (welcome to 5000 ping). I am living with my parents and commute to university, they pay close to $200 a month for 30 Megabit up and 6 Megabit down, phone service (because our cell service at home is nonexistent (thanks sprint you cocksuckers), and I dunno how many channels of TV because I stopped watching TV quite a few years ago, if I had to guess...maybe 200-300?

If they add a data cap to us, I know for a fact I would hit it. I livestream part time and that uses a lot of bandwidth, plus, watching other streams, and a lot of youtube. And torrenting. My mom requests I torrent movies for her since she doesn't understand how to do it lol. A 500 gig cap? don't make me laugh I probably go through well over 1000 gigs of data in a month.

they already posted that they rolled it out as a test in some areas and that they will be placing it on all areas soon

Humans can communicate with a robot on Mars but can't get global networks sorted.

I have centurylink you don't hear about them much as for a corporation they are not that bad.  We pay 20$ a month to get home phone, and internet which is 10mbps down and .75 up, but every freakin day from about 5pm to 12am the speed drops to about 1mbps down and .2up..it sucks as that is when I can get my gaming time in.....why can everyone just roll out fibre.  Everybody would be happy.

It would make you cry.
