Just got done ordering my parts for my first build

Is there anything I should know before I begin my build?  I've watched a lot of tutorial videos, including Logan's.  Not really my first build, I built a computer back in the day from scrap parts out of computers my school was throwing out... Pentium III haha.  Anyways, quite a bit has changed.  Any advice or tips to make sure this build goes as smoothly as possible?

Parts list, just for reference...

Intel i5 3570k Ivy Bridge CPU

ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 MoBo

Noctua NH-D14 cpu cooler (Using Arctic Silver 5, not the stuff that it comes with... pea method)

Mushkin Enhanced Redline 8GB RAM

HIS IceQ Turbo Radeon HD 7870 GPU

Kingston HyperX 3 120G SSD

Western Digital Blue 500GB

Corsair Enthusiast Series 650 watt PSU

Antec 900 Black Steel case

Since I'm not getting a CD-Rom Drive, I'm planning on installing windows 7 64 off of a bootable USB using "A Bootable USB" to make it bootable.  Also planning on having the motherboard drivers on a separate USB; the rest will be installed via downloads, including SP1.  After all that is done I will get some programs, Chrome, Steam, FRAPS, Iobit's Advanced System Care, and other things of that nature.  I'll probably see what I can do in the lines of overclocking after I know all my parts are working as they should be, probably after Thanksgiving break.  But yeah, any advice would be great.  Thanks a ton for giving me advice on parts if you have commented on my posts before, I really like this forum.

*bump* Please comment, I'm going to need all the extra help I can get.

You can get a DVD drive for like 10$. Seriously, get one. You might use it like once a year, but it's a pain in the butt when you don't have it.

I already ordered the parts, to me it would be a waste of space, time, and money.  I've had this laptop for 5 years now... I've used the DVD/CD drive once... and it wasn't even necessary at the time.
