So I just bought the Crossover 290M 2560x1080 monitor, and a HDMI to dvi adapter along with a HDMI 1.4 cable so I could use it with my ps4 and PC. When I tried plugging it in to the ps4 (which also supports HDMI 1.4) all I got was the backlight and the little power led turning blue, no actuall picture. I tested all the cables and they work fine with my 1920x1080 monitor. Now with that being said I havn't tried it on my PC yet just the dvi cable from GPU to monitor because I'm away, but I did try using a Mac thunderbolt adapter to HDMI and the monitor didn't even recognize it, also I'm fairly certain it is not broke if I get it to turn on the backlight and recognized when something is there.
The only 3 things I could think of that could be wrong are:
1) Monitor is broke.
2) The HDMI to DVI adapter isn't HDMI 1.4
3) I'm a dumbass and I'm plugging something in wrong or am not seeing the magic button to make things work.
If anyone else has gotten it to work with a console please tell me how you did it or if anyone has any other help, or ideas on what could be wrong it would be much appreciated!
