So i have the EXACT Motherboard as Pistol, And i asked her what exact type brand and what not of RAM she had in her build because i wanted premium RAM, And i just... ( Little teary from spending this much on ram, Don't judge ) spent the 200$ on the ram, I really hope this is compatible with my board, i know she says it is, I know she is using it, I'm just really worryful and i know this all sounds stupid and sad, But i get worried when i spend this much money on Computer Hardware.
Cleaned the title for you - took up a lot of space in the Feed, and was a lot of unnecessary information.
HyperX Beast modules are realyl high quality, so even if your board doesn't support that speed, then you can downclock, and, probably, lower those ridiculous timings.
I apologize for the abnormally large Title, i will definitely keep that it mind, Again i apologize, I'm just really worried about this... I just spent 200$ on Amazon and im afraid if it does not work i can't send it back.
The ram is high quality, but you wasted the money on that speed, since you aren't using an APU.
You should be able to send it back within a fairly generous time period, well at least that's how it is in the UK.
still have no idea why you would spend that much on ram but meh, it's your money and some people would probably benefit from it but I think the affect of it would be pretty small when the extra price is considered.
Well you also have to consider that i will be eventually rendering videos, Playing games on Max settings with shit ton of mods and a whole bunch of other things.
There's no real performance boosts in faster ram, over 1600. Unless on an APU, there are several videos about it, including ones that Linus, and Logan have even done.
Yeah, like Phantom and others have said you really shouldn't have spent that much on RAM.
You could have easily saved yourself $100 and gotten 16gb of 1600 or even 1866 if you really wanted to.
I would have just gotten 16gb of 1600. You say you'll be rendering videos and such so I'm assuming that's why you want 16 and not 8 (as anything more than 8 is overkill for gaming, nothing uses that much. Hell you can get away with 4gb of RAM really, it's just a good idea to get 8 to be future proof)
well the ram is overpriced but he allready buyed it. so it will be all fine. it will be supported without issues. you must probably set the 2400mhz speed bij hand, but thats easy
Well i guess once i put it in my board, i could go strait into the BIOS and under clock it to 1600Mhz
well your motherboard supports upto 2400 mhz as standard without OC so, you can set them by hand on 2400, just go into bios Ai-tweaker Dram frequency select the speed you want
Lower CAS latency is better for video editing. I just bought some CL7 1600 16GB. Though, your RAM will have a higher latency, your high frequency will probably compensate for it.
And it does look like very nice RAM.
It is very nice RAM, As i explained above, It is the same exact RAM that Pistol uses, So i know damn well it works on her motherboard considering i have the same one as her and i see her computer go lightning fast.
