It's all about the warranty

I like to raise up a topic that think is important for anyone who buys a computer especially from the empire of evil Apple.

It's all about the warranty.

Back in 2009 I bought myself a MacBook Pro 17 Inch .supposedly an awesome machine, after  two years of use everything started to go wrong.

The first thing to go was the motherboard. Now I live in Israel and at the time there was not an official company selling Mac products here. Actually there are still isn't really such a company in Israel that is recognized by Apple. But when I spoke to the representative I was amazed to discover that my motherboard wasn't in the warranty.

I'm a PC user for many years, and I'm used to getting a lifetime warranty on the CPU and on the motherboard so you could imagine my surprise when I heard this.

The basic weren't he for Apple.

 they give you one year of warranty on all the parts after that you must pay to extend the warranty. Which is fine and am willing to do. But there are certain parts in any other computer /company that the warranty is for life or office three years. And I don't see why Apple should not do the same.

 An Intel motherboard is an Intel motherboard.

 in any case whatever the reason for this, other than being greedy pigs. If my motherboard completely dies because of a design fault (quote from the Apple technician) after two years on a very expensive machine this should be under the warranty. The damage to the motherboard was not my fault it was bad design on their side. O K so now I fixed the machine which cost me a third of the price of the machine because I did not buy the extended warranty at the time [by the way they warranty doesn't cover much for the price they are asking for]. Three months after I fixed the motherboard the battery exploded. Now this in itself is dangerous and definitely not my fault. Aapparently when I tried to replace the battery and complain Apple's response was it's not under the warranty so purchase another battery no apologies and no responsibility taken by from their side. So here's a design flaw again which Apple are not taking responsibility for. Anyway my story goes on at least two more times and eventually this week my computer finally died and I'm tired of spending money fixing it . To fix this machine it will cost me about the same amount as buying a new machine.

The sad thing is I am a PC user and in my line of work computer animation, I'm always looking for good machines to give me the best performance that I can get. Historically Apple used to be the best in this field, so you can imagine my disappointment and my anger to go through so much. I will never buy another Apple product as long as I can help it.

So to sum up I'll be happy if you guys could go into detail about warranty and the different companies that give us the best warranty for our money.

This is a very important subject that I think many people specially those suckers buying Apple products need to know.

                       

Hmm, sucks for you. The tards in the Apple stores here will pretty much just fiddle around with your computer for a few minutes, give up and offer you a new one if its under warrenty. Chances are those warrenties aren't world wide. If they were, maybe send your computer to a friend in the states, they can give it to them and since the monkeys have no fucking idea what they are doing they'll likely replace it as it is easier than having to think, then have said MacBook sent back to you.

Other than that idea, I'm not gonna be much help, I don't know much when it comes to Apple warrenties, especially in other countries, perhaps someone else will have more insight.
