It- network security

Greetings for all TEK SYNDICATE members and fans.

I'm desperate to get into network security. I've being reading about the Offensive Security courses and all the people that take them are already in the field, most of them recomend to start with the Cisco courses, so I ask you guys for help.
I want to know what is the best way to start, considering that I am just a "fan" without any college background and my only way to study is E-learning and that I'm not in the US.

Thanks in advance and forgive me if something is not write in a correct way.

Start by learning linux, that's a necessary basis. You'll need to learn a lot for IPv6, a lot of crap is spread about what you should know and which certifications you should have and such, reality is, not that many people are top network security specialists when it comes to IPv6 based network management.

Thank you for your help, by "learning Linux" you mean coding?

I will start learning about IPv6.

Thanks again

No, learn how to use Linux, how to interact with the terminal, and not just that, but what you are actually doing, and why.

Install Manjaro, or Kali. Great places to start.

Thank you, I do have Kali Linux, I will use it from now on.
I have never heard of Manjaro!! I will check that out...

Thanks
