So I finally have enough money to finish building my computer. Here is said computer. Its mainly for gaming. I already have the graphics card, case, and ram.

This being my first build I have few questions.
1. Will an SSD improve my gaming experience?
2. What are some good gaming mice?
3. What are some good head sets? Also i was curious if Head phones with a standalone mic was possibly a better option for sound quality.
4. With this being my first build, will I need any extra cables for it? Or should all i need be included.
5. I was hoping to do a black/red color scheme for my rig. Is anyone familiar with the Biostar line of motherboards? It seems to me that they have the only selection of black/red motherboards around.
6. If I wanted to do some case lighting how would I go about doing that?
A great mouse is the Razer Deathadder. I love it becuase it fits my hand perfectly, and it is soft touch. Also, there isn't like 50 buttons on the side. Just 2. You may want more, but if not, this is a great mouse! Although, in the end, it doesn't fit your color scheme. It lights up blue. Hope this helped!
Newegg and many other places sell cold cathode kits for custom lighting. Or you could get lit fans but that wouldn't be as bright most likely, depends on the fan.
http://www.newegg.com/Case-Accessories/SubCategory/ID-255 cold cathode kits are a bout halfway down or so
1. In terms of FPS? No. It will improve basically everything else though.
2. Steelseries Sensei? Dunno what size hand or how you hold mice etc. I suggest going to a bestbuy or some store to try a few out.
3. Always headphones + standalone mic for best SQ but it's not a common option.
4. The monitor only comes with one DVI cable for your computer but if you want to plug your console into it via HDMI, you may need to have your own! Otherwise you should be fine on cables.
5. Asus makes red/black motherboards with their Maximus line but they're a tad bit more expensive.
6. Bitfenix Alchemy LED strips are probably a better bet than a cold cathode tube.
I feel that a mouse is one of those things that you have to see and feel with your on 2 hands before you buy it. But sadly my local electronics store (best buy) only carries razer nagas it seems. Very upseting.
2. I second the Razer Deathadder suggestion, even with small hands, it feels great for my grip (palm grip). The DPI is just right, I use the max settings on it (3500 DPI) and would never want to go higher.
3. A really good pair of headsets would be the A700s (butt ugly though....) http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AUD-ATH-A700X-Technica-Headphones/dp/B000E9VKUQ
4. You'll be good for cables if you have a spare HDMI cable laying around (if you don't you can buy them at a local general store)
5. The only red/black colour scheme boards that I know of would be the high end Asus boards. But since you're going for a black red scheme, I would black board with red ram (like you have in your build now) Which brings me my next point: 8GB is enough. 16GB is pointless unless you're doing heavy video editing. IF you need it, just add more later.
6. Bitfenix makes LED strips that you can use, I think they're sticky so they can stick to anywhere.
1. eh, if you get a 128 or bigger to fit some programs on it could load up maps/games faster. but once in the game there's no difference, so if you really think it's a big deal i guess it could. i don't really care to have one or not but they're mainly a personal preference kinda thing. they ARE faster though, but hard drive speed only matters in the start up and loading new levels and games as far as gaming goes. but OS should always be the first thing to put on an ssd, or using a small one like 60 or 90gb for intels smart response caching system
2. standalone mic and headphones is probably a better route to take if it really matters. but to me, the market for desktop and clip on mics is so low end i just think getting a full headset is better for now. i really love sennheisers headsets, i just ordered their u320 actually.
here's there mid end one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826106632
here's there high end one http://www.sennheiserusa.com/pc323D
and there's one kinda in between, i think it's like 110$ without surround sound.
3. everything should be there, maybe could look into some cable management ties since like you said it's your first build.
4. gigabusterexe really likes biostar boards, and he's one of the more knowledgable guys on here, so i guess go for it. i can't really say much but i mean that's all i really know about em haha.
5. buy case lights?! here's the section on newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Case-Accessories/SubCategory/ID-255 . you just connect them to your psu.
and the Corsair K60 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826816006
And in terms of Razer Products, I feel that they are hit or miss. I have had a couple of friends who have keyboards or mice or headsets from them and either love them or it broke on them. The only razer product that I have personally own was the Razer Carcharias and that broke after 2 years. While a sample size of one is not very revealing, it does have a tendency to leave a bad taste in your mouth.
Havent read all the replys yet but here is my own opinion.
1: Not sure about the gaming experience but i really love how quick you can restart your computer :)
2: I should go with a Razer mouse i got both the Deathadder and a Naga. If you mostly play FPS games and dont need many buttons i would go with the deathadder but if you play MMO where you have many ablilitys like in WoW i would go with a Naga. Yes i know many complain about Razer. I have used mine for 4 years and never had any problems. Razer make very good looking produkts if you are in for estetiks would buy from Razer :)
3: Recently bought Logitechs G930 they are wireless and i love it i can move around and listen to music without having to care about the any wires.
4: You shouldnt need any extra cables. But if you have USb 3.0 on your chassi front panel check the contact for it. In my Corsair 600t i had to buy an adapter because i didnt want to have the wire looping out of the case and in to back of the mobo.
5: I have no idea about Biostar but i know that Asrock make some black and red Mobos i think that they call them fatality or something like that.
6: I would buy the NZXT Hue they are pretty cheap and you can decide exatly which colour you want and change it at anytime.
I'm not a razer fanboy or anything, but I use the Black Mamba wireless/wired mouse. Goes up to 5600DPI. Extremely smooth and responsive. Also I've used the Razer Carcharias ( I think is how you spell it) headset/mic for the past 3 years. They sound fantastic in games and music, pretty much everything. Much better than a comparably priced Turtle Beach pair or others of the like.I've had them on for 8+ hours straight before and my head/ears never get uncomfortable because of the soft ear cups that fully cover the ear.
Get the SSD as large as you can, but for large scale, realistic storage (price wise), use HDD for now - at least 10,000 RPM and 64 MB cache. For the mouse, I absolutely love my Logitech g600 for gaming; 8200dpi is absolutely insane!
