I recently set up a zabbix server. I know the server works because I can monitor the CPU load of my pfSense box with it, but I can't seem to monitor my DNS server. Its running Debian, and I'm confused because I got the zabbix-agent package working on my Debian web server. I don't have iptables installed on the server AT ALL, and yet the agent doesn't respond. When I try to do telnet 10.10.10.3:10050 it says "disconnected by foreign host" but I have the config file set up with "Server=10.10.10.23" so I don't know why its not working. Help?
Never mind. Don't know what happened but it spontaneously started working just now. Weird....
