Issues with my 7950x curve optimizer

Hey everyone! I am new and need some help. My system is almost identical to Wendells; 7950x, Asrock x670e Taichi, Gskill 6000 c30 64g, 4090 suprim liquid x 1200w psu, 980 pro ssd’s all on a custom loop from EK. I can’t get my system to be stable adjusting the curve optimizer any, not even a -5 offset. Is there anything I am missing or should check. I notice Wendell doesn’t seem to have trouble with his Taichi and don’t know what my issue could be. Thank you for your time and hope you all are doing well!

What’s your frequency override set to
Higher frequency override means lower potential gains from CO
If you have mostly all core avx loads you aren’t going to see the top bins anyway so go ahead and set it to -500mhz and then see what you can get out of CO

If you want few core boost, don’t do that, little you can do to gain from CO

You can set the switching frequency of the VRMs

  • High switching freq=slightly better stability, less power efficiency, VRMs will consume more power, try yey also will get hotter, does not affect CPU temp or power
  • Low switching frequency=slightly less stable at higher clocks, more power efficiency, less power consumed and cooler vrms

Keeping it cool, silicon is slightly more power efficient the cooler it is, meaning you can play a little bit faster and looser
