Issues when trying to put my laptop to sleep or hibernate on Linux (black screen with blinking cursor)

Chiming in simply to say you’re not alone, I’ve had similar issues with a different piece of hardware (Thinkpad T15g Gen 2 – 11800h + RTX 3080 mobile). It also sounds like a similar issue to the suspend/resume issues @wendell had with the Razer Blade 18 during the review a few months ago? Though I didn’t see the suspend/resume issues mentioned in the related thread (Razer Blade 18 - Linux Setup Notes and Review), just an oblique mention in the Level1Linux review video for that one - https://youtu.be/WJBk1_T3gyw, around 4:04 - 5:20 in the video.

So far as I’ve been able to find, it’s a nVidia driver issue, but I could well be wrong. Arch wiki had a few suggestions - NVIDIA/Tips and tricks - ArchWiki - but those were already implemented by default in the distro I was using at the time, and it still happened. Hoping to be wrong though, and there’s something I’m missing that’s just beyond my current experience level.
