Issue Installing Win 7

Hey guys I just recently built a PC. A friend of mines was able to download a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate and the two of us installed it on my PCs 128 GB SSD. It was working a for a while last night and I was able to install a few drivers but then while I was trying to install Crysis 3, it crashed on me.

I restarted my PC and this is what it tells me now

Does anyone have any clue to what or why this is happening? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Some of the drive space is saved for the startup repair and the mbr

Well I reformatted my SSD again and it allowed me to use it but when I do that and go through the process it gives me this screen after it restarts

go into your bios and make shure that ssd is set to ahci mode.... you always need to when installing windows

ahci mode? Ok I'll give that a try thanks.

Ok I switched my SSD to AHCI mode. Made sure that my optical drive was the main boot drive and this is what I'm getting when I try to install windows

If you have mulitple hard drives attached, try removing all of them except for the SSD that Win7 will go on.

what you need to do, is download the AHCI driver from your Motherboard Manufacture website, extract all the files onto a flash drive, then try the installation again and make your you click on load drivers. That always seems to work for me

How can I upload a new driver to the motherboard if I don't have Windows 7 installed?

Ok found out the SSD I had was the issue. Now I'm up and running fine. Thanks everyone for the help!!!

what was the issue?

It was being read consistently. The BIOS saw it on one try and wouldn't on another. So I installed Win7 onto the other hard drive that I had and installed the drivers. So now after all those are installed, its seeing everything perfectly. Now I'm wondering how to deal with things because I want my boot drive to be read off of it not my 200 GB HDD that I'm using. I'm wondering should I try to install everything once again on the SSD to see if it will work out right this time.

yes, try it. Should probably work with the updates, if that was also the issue with your HDD.

I'm hoping it does work. If I have the updates on one HDD and use and SSD for my OS now, I'm just hoping everything doesn't get wiped out again
