Issue Extended Partitions

I shall try to be concise.

I've got two SSD's in a raid 0 config. I've split it into two partitions: the first is a 64gb partition with Windows, and the second is the remainder of the space where I install my games. A few years ago when I did this i thought 64gb would be plenty. However, things like Visual Studio and SQL Server can take up a lot of room, and they kind of force you into installing that shit on your Windows partition. Needless to say, as a result, I'm always fighting for space on the 64gb Windows parition.

I thought that if I shrunk the big 'ol game partition that I could then extend the Windows partition to take that extra space. However, it won't let me. Basically ends up looking like this:
[OS partition][Game partition][Unpartitioned Space]

It's almost as if it's not letting me because the unparitioned space is not next to the OS partition. I'm not a guru with how all this work though. Is there any hope of me extending the OS parition without having to completely wipe my 400+gb gaming partition -> AKA: I don't want to have to redownload hundreds of GB of games again. :)

Thanks ladies and gents alike.

Because the Windows Disk Management does not support extending your OS partition with unallocated space which is not next to the OS partition, you need to find another way to realize this function. A third party disk partition software - AOMEI Partition Assistant can complete this action in an easy way. You have no need to worry about the unpartitoned space is not next to your OS partition, because it can extend the OS partition with the not adjacent unpartitioned sapce. And the service is free for you. You can have a try on this software, hope it helps.

I did try another disk partitioning tool, don't remember the name, but it didn't work either. In the end, I just re partitioned and reinstalled Windows. Problem solved. :)

Thanks for the reply
