I am considering upgrading to Windows 10 and I have a G3258 is it worth it? My motherboard is a Z97X-UD3H. Because overclocking.
I see no reason not to use Windows 10 except for some older devices and drivers that work with 7 have issues with 10. I think it's inevitable though, eventually new programs and API's will require it.
Seriously wtf is going on. It's like I've walked into some alternate version of the TekSyndicate forum.
Get away from windows. Don't touch the damn thing. Go to linux and save your self a pain in the ass
That depends -- do you have problems with your current operating system? Do you think there would be any advantages to upgrading? We need data!
I highly suggest you ignore anyone trying to force Linux onto you. Don't use it unless you want to. Both Windows and Linux have their pros and cons -- for some Linux is more suitable, for others Windows is. Anyone trying to force one or the other onto you might very well be mad. (But Linux is pretty awesome. If you've never tried a Linux distribution, you should some day.)
I wouldn't recommend windows 10 if you value your privacy.
Yes!
Ask yourself if giving up your personal information and control over your machine is worth the little convenience. And if you don't have Skylake chip then what's the point.
Win 8.1 + start is back is just fine.
This thread is a fucking circus..
It depends what is it you're doing with your machine. Stick with Windows if you're a gamer.
If you wish to try out Linux by all means make a thread and I'm sure people will gladly recommend you a few distros.. Linux is a whole other animal. if you've been using Windows all your life, then stick with it, cause Linux is not windows. what you're probably used to doing on Windows, you will not be able to do on Linux.
Depends on your ussage.
But if you are a hardcore gamer, and you want to play all upcomming AAA titles etc.
Then i´m affraid you dont have much choice then to update to Windows10.
If you want to take the advantage of DX12.
I ask is it worth the upgrade because I do not know if doing a microcode workaround will cause unwanted affects.
I like Windows 10 a lot. But I loved windows 8 too, and I didn't mind Vista (once I got the 64bit version which didn't bluescrren every few minutes)
So Maybe I am weird.
