Is this possible?

I don’t really know how to explain my problem but. Basically i have my PC and PS3 connected to the same monitor, (PC to monitor via DVI, monitor to PS3 via HDMI) but i want the audio from my PS3 which is emitting through my monitors speakers to come out of my headset that is connected to my PC. Is this possible?

is your headset usb or analog

My headset is connected to my PC via USB. I do have a 3.5mm AUX connected from my monitor to my PC aswell.

you might be able to do it through a selectable usb switch box (hub) but im not 100% sure, that way you could switch your headset between the pc and ps3 with a button, i dont see a reason that it wouldnt work though

Is there no way to get the audio to simultaneously play audio from the PS3 and PC?

Do you have the original play station cables that come with the yellow, red, and white connectors. You could buy one of these LINK connectors that connects to the red and white cables and adapts it to a 3.5mm jack. You can then plug that into your PC's Line-In port.

The way I have mine is that my HDMI devices hook into my monitor and it has built in speakers(which are crap) and has an audio out. That plugs into a male to male 3.5mm cable into the line in. I configure the Line-In through windows speaker settings to Listen to this device and the console audio out puts through my pc speakers.

Console through HDMI > Monitor Audio Out > PC Line-In > Audio Out > Speakers connected by a 3.5mm jack.

EDIT:
Alternatively you could purchase one of those optical audio to analogue (red and white) and have that plug into your line-in.

I do have the original connectors, I guess this option will do, Thanks!

Okay, I wanted to confirm that this is possible and you just have to toggle it on through the PS3's audio settings:

EDIT:
I am entirely unsure if it will output SD resolution though.
