Planning on rendering and gaming on this pc. I saw this exact pc on ibuypower but i went to pc part picker and put all of the parts there and it came out $300 cheaper! I plan on recording and playing gta v, bf4,crysis 3 on it and render it at 720p!! Thanks =D
I think you might be overspending on the CPU... You could use that money on a newer, more powerful GPU. That might help with gaming and rendering.
And the closed loop watercooler is wholly unneccesary. That motherboard does not look like the ideal overclocking board. You might want to spend more on that or less on the cooler... Correct me if i'm wrong...
Depending on what you are rendering it could be good or bad,
If you are doing 3D rendering the CPU is good as it have 4 cores with hyperthreding making it able to redier in 8 areas in programs such as Cinema 4d and Maya, but the GPU will not help much here with its Cuda cores
If you are rendering Videos is such programs as Adobe after effects or using other Adobe programs this is where you have a Good GPU for the job is the Cuda cores on the Nvidia cards work a treat when using Adobe programs.
As for gaming your CPU is great, and the GPU should be good, but you could get better for the money if were to get an AMD 7870 with a slightly higher Core clock speed for a little cheeper and with its non-Cuda cores should be better for gaming.
(I dont know too much about how Cuda cores vs Normal CPU cores match up in gamin, it should be something you would look into)
If you are going to be using blender or iray in max then that build should be good. If you are using something else AMD is pertty much where it is at for anything other then 780 level single card performance and a few areas of adobe products.
you need a z77 motherboard
