Is this heat sink too big?

Hey guys, I'm building a new pc and have ordered the parts, but the heat sink came in and I'm not sure if it's going to fit in my case. On the website it said that it was 120mm long, but on the package it says 158mm long, and I can't find a number on the clearance for my case. Thanks.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Rosewill Thor V2

It's a fairly wide case so it shouldn't be a problem.

a Noctua NH-D14 also fits in the Thor. so the Cooler master Hyper 212 evo would definitely not be a problem. There is about 170MM clearance for the cooler, till it touches the side panel. so cpu heatsinks upto 168mm fit without any problems at all.

The Phanteks PH-TC14PE will NOT fit! ☺

Grtz Angel ☺

Every time I have doubts whether certain parts will fit, I just look at PCPartpicker completed builds and filter out the exact parts i'm looking for.  In your case I found this : http://pcpartpicker.com/b/I1b

So to answer your question, yes it will fit.

But there is also the 230mm fan on the side, that takes up about an inch or so.

Source for my reaction.
