Is this enough VRAM?

I have a gtx 770 with 2 gb of vram. I play the new mmo that came out, Wildstar, on ultra high settings. Using evga precision x I noticed that I use betweem 1.6 and 1.9 gb of vram for a 1080p resolution. But I eventually soon want to upgrade to three 1080p monitors, so how much more extra vram would I need to pull that off without system swap occurring? Is this something I should be worried about or am I just being silly? Is 2 gb enough for 3 1080p monitors while gaming on one?

if you're still going to be gaming at 1920/1280 you shouldn't have any difference, as for needing more vram for newer games i'm not getting involved, as that conversation's been going on for something like a decade

Yeah, having two extra monitors shouldn't have a very large impact on your VRAM usage assuming you're still only gaming on one.

2 gigs of vram is enough for 3X1080p gaming. Just because it shows that much vram usage doesn't mean it is using it all. Most of it is just caching to stream textures so that there is no lag between loading areas. If you are only using one monitor to game, the two extra monitors will not have any effect on performance or vram.

Surprisingly, 2GB of Vram is enough to game across three monitors. More Vram would be preferable, and maybe a faster GPU. But the 770 is actually pretty capable. Might have to turn down a few settings to game across three panels.

It really depends on the game. I'm using cf unlocked 6950s and in most games when I switch from 1080p to 5760*1080 I see around 60% of the fps. Unless it's my skyrim with all those 2k texture mods and enb. I go from 50-70fps to 20 :/

and let's not even talk about Metro LL.

I'd say if you want more detailed information, the widescreen gaming forums has been on this topic for eternity.
