Is this an okay build?

Then in about 3 months I will have a 760, or can anybody recommend a GPU in the same price range that would be better?

Oh and it would be pretty cool if someone wanted to throw in an APU build within the same price range. Thanks!

massive overkill on PSU... in that price range all you can do is upgrade the APU... CPU+GPU basically start at $600 to get something decent

you also should get the A88 chipset on the mobo... for that matter if I were buying an APU I wouldn't look at any thing but the A10-7850K

Overkill on the power supply?! He said he's adding a Gtx 760 in a couple months and that psu is only $38 after rebates dumbass...

Pretty good, get this processor instead:

Also don't expect any overclocking with that motherboard

didn't see that... way to be a dick about it :P

in that case... I'd wait the 3 months out and get an Athlon X4 760K on the A88 chipset

I would try to get a higher quality motherboard.  The E33 is a bit cheap.  It'll work, but you may want to look into a higher quality one.

Why not just wait 3 months so you dont have to settle for an apu? You could then get something like this >> http://pcpartpicker.com/user/deejeta/saved/3XZp

+1 why wasting money on an APU, if you planning to get an dedicated GPU? i would wait till you have enough money to build the rig. the athlon 760K is a good choice with a GTX760. only in games that are also abit cpu heavy, the athlon will bottleneck the the GTX760. for example metro last light.

i would go with FX6300 and Asus M5A97 R2.0 board.

+1.  I would save up as the current plan that OP is running on will be more expensive in the long run.  Either that or you could get a better computer later.
