i would go external for the rare occasions that you need one

Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

the pcie power cords for the gpu will be red, not a deal breaker but just something to consider, the P1 has all black cables if looks matter to you.

@EZLTheGreat looks does not matter and I fully agree with you on an external optical... Do you have one to recommend? Thanks

ASUS External 12X Blu-Ray Burner with USB 3.0 BW-12D1S-U/BLK/G/AS, Black

it gets warm to the touch if your ripping a lot of discs in a row, haven't used it to burn anything yet but it works pretty well for ripping blurays and is a lot faster than the old usb 2.0 dvd drive i was using went from 30 minutes to 10 minutes to rip a dvd with make mkv

Budget is $2100. This will be a gaming and editing computer and streaming if I feel like it. I am open for suggestions and should I do windows 8.1 for now and wait till windows 10 gets more stable or jump right into windows 10?

He says editing and streaming. x99 all the way, editing and streaming will thank you for those extra cores. I doubt you will notice that much difference between a 4790k and 5820k when gaming, especially if they are overclocked.

So is this build fine? and yea i will be definitely be OCing

Yes, it's great.

Some people will say 'get this SSD' or 'get that brand of graphics card', but I think you have a really well rounded system capable of doing all you want it to. You will have 4 spare RAM slots, should you want to upgrade at a later date.

Have fun building it!

You might want a touch more storage, a 500GB SSD probably won't last you long if you're going to be video editing. In that build you've only got a 500GB SSD? Grab a 2TB of HDD space, at least. Especially if you're going to be capturing video.

Other than that, looks fine and dandy to me. Except maybe the motherboard, would have to look at reviews. I'm not particularly knowledgeable in that area.

Aesthetically it seems like it'd be quite nice.

i have 4 and 5 TB HDD that will go in this build i just didn't listed because its a spare from one of my external HD.
