Is this a good build?

i have keyboard and mouse so i dont need that but i need a monitor here is the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2sLmS

can it play some hardcore games?

Go with this motherboard and then i think your good to go http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a97r20

Yea it'll run the new AAA titles and stuff but you've basically made yourself a hairdryer and you don't need to pay extra for 2133 ram get 1600 but if you really want to you can get 1866. Whats your max budget and what else are you using this computer for? Also the fractal core 3000 is on sale on newegg and you get more for what you pay for that case.

That can play most games on high settings, probably not Ultra for many new games, though. If you want to invest $20 more, you can go for the slightly better 270x.

I would go with the M5A97 R 2.0 as well; I have it and it is a decent board as long as you don't plan on overclocking too high. Though, the Gigabyte board isn't a bad option if you're looking to save.

And 1600 or 1866 MHz memory is really all you need. 2133 MHz is overkill on a budget and you won't see much of an improvement in performance.
