Is this a good build?

This is my plan for my first build, and i want to keep it around $550, If you guys have any suggestions for better parts, or see if there is any way i can make my build cheaper, that would be great.

Here is the build:

CPU - AMD FX-6300 Six Core 3.5 Ghz = $135



Mobo - Asus M5A97 = $85



Graphics Card - Radeon HD 6850 = $130



Memory - Patriot G Skill 1866mhz ddr3 8Gb = $50



Storage - 500gb HDD = $60



Case - Fractal Design Core 1000 = $40



Power Supply - Corsair Builder 500W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V Power Supply - $50


Total = $550

The motherboard is too big for the Core 1000. The Core 1000 only supports mATX. Personally, I'd go for the NZXT Source 210, or a Rosewill Redbone.

Also, if you plan on a heavy OC, I'd opt for the Gigabyte 970A-UD3. If you're just looking at a moderate OC, the ASUS is fine.

Other than that, the build looks fine.
