don't use a APU with a dedicated a graphics card... try these parts I came in at $709 no dvd drive..this system will definatley play battlefield 3 maxed out

I did not see a hard drive anywhere on the list, do you have one already?

Yes, that is more than enough to run it on MAX and the next 3 years of games to come.

Hmm, why wouldn't he want to use that APU with a graphics card? Dual graphics didn't work out so hot, but with an HD 7870 dual graphics isn't even a concern anyways. An OC'd A10 will outperformed a stock i3, and it will OC well with the IGP turned off. Also, as a person who owns a HD 6870, I can tell you it isn't capable of playing BF3 on max settings, you'd need a 6950 (or 7k equiv) to do that. It almost gets there but not quite. Also, you wouldn't need an i5 since BF isn't that CPU intensive.

Now with that said...  Diablotek probably makes some of the worst hardware around, I often state they are called that because of the frequency in which their products catch fire. You can get better cases, I also dislike Rosewill's quality, but what VG would be a better bet than Diablotek, though I'd suggest going for something from CM or Fractal, the Core 1000 case is a great case and is ultra cheap. Patriot mem has burned me twice so I avoid it, use at your own discretion. Your build is also completely lacking a hard drive dood, you might wanna get one... As for PSU, I have no idea the quality of the one you posted, nor am I willing to look into it, could be good, though I usually recommend Seasonic or Seasonic rebrands like XFX and Corsair.

because its going two different ways.. if your gonna use a APU your doing it to save money(console replacement) with a I5 and 6870 you'll have a much better all around machine..Also I own a 5870 and it does max battlefield 3 so I figured the slightly slower 6870 would as well

The CPU component of the A10 is actually fairly good, which gives me hope that the Piledriver chips coming out may bring AMD back into the gaming market. If they can make the A10 $130 with a quad core Piledriver CPU and the top of the line integrated graphics, I can't see why they wouldn't be able to release the Quad Core Piledriver chips for less than $100, making it a very appealing option for budget gamers, considering it performance vs the $130 i3 chips.

So can anyone put together a nice intel build? You can leave out hard drive and burner. I need something that is guarantedd bf3 ultra, but i also dont want it gimping on actual performance.

If you want an Intel build, swap out your mobo with an LGA 1155 socket board and an i3 chip. Same price, more or less same performance. You could jump to an i5 but BF3 is full retard graphics with little CPU pull, so it really wouldn't be worth it since you'd have to cut from more important components.

So if i put an i5 3570k on this, would i be good for a while?

i5 with an Asrock extreme 4 will be good for years to come, same with the 7870 and I would recommend 1600mhz ram.  You just might have to break the bank a little if you want garuntees.  If you can save a more for the bits it'll be worth it.

Later on down the track you'll be able to add additional HDDs, SSDs or get a new case, some fans or a new monitor rather than wanting to upgrade CPU/GPU.

Something to think about.

If your able to save more do it.  If you absolutely must stick to a budget of 7 hundy then that's the path you have to take.  It all depends on your situation.

Right now Newegg.com has the Asrock Extreme 4 with free 2x4GB Patriot ram.

The Asrock comes with free ram.

add the combo to your cart and you'll see that since the ASUS mobo is apart of the combo you get the free ram too

Ah, good spottin.  Makes the V-Pro more attractive too.
