Is this a good build? (~$700 build)

Hey, I was wondering if this was a good build?                                                                                                                http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/

You need to post the permalink from PCPartPicker. The link you posted will just bring up whatever the person who clicked on it last built was. Not your list.

Oh sorry didnt notice :D                                                                                                                                           http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2Ztcz

Is it a good build?

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2ZvlV made 2 changes.

1: swapped the mobo. The one that you had isn't a good choice. It has poor reviews, high faling rate and poor power delivery. The ASUS M5A97 R2.0 is a minimum for amd builds.

2. Swapped the psu for a slightly bigger one, just to give it some room so you won't be maxing it out. It will be more silent and last longer.

Im kind of a newb here as its my first build, but what is the bios update thing

The board was originally designed to be used with the Bulldozer based CPUs but the newer FX series, like the FX-6300, uses the much improved Piledriver architecture. Despite having the same socket the MOBO would more than likely need a BIOS update to be able to detect and use that CPU.

That being said, I'm 99% sure that all the current shipping M5A97 motherboards are shipping with the BIOS already updated and work with the PIledriver CPUs out of the box. You shouldn't have to worry about it.

oh ok. thanks :)

i can confirm the bios updates with the current shipped mobo
