I want to build a PC capable of streaming, recording game footage (720p). Is there more advantage to using more RAM as opposed to faster RAM, or a combination of both? What would I be best purchasing price vs performance wise? I am from the UK if that makes any difference :P
Faster in clock speed doesn't necesarily mean faster, because of lower latencies. It depends on the program, some preffer lower CAS speeds while others don't mind looser latencies but with over 1866MHz bandwidth. For streaming 8gb is enough, if you're impatient with editing or need the extra ram for other programs then more is better.
