I want to reformat my hard drive but keep my, *ahem* "borrowed" copys of programs like shoopdawhoop and such. Is there a way I can back up program files to this and just kind of drag and drop them back into place?
Yeah, I think dragging and dropping to another hard drive or an external hard drive will work fine. Or just like, put the installers/programs/songs/etc (if you have em) on sendspace and just re-download later.

yeah the registry, how cam i get those across too
redownload them, that's what i do, well actually i keep the .exe's but yeah
burn em onto RW dvd;'s
I always keep the .rar so I never lose the original copy of it.
