i am just questioning is it better or worse because these are all different connections all connected by Ethernet and on a stable connection.

It has more to do with your geographical location. You would generaly want to test the the location that is closest to you. plus there are many carriers and all have different connection types and available bandwidth and that has more to do with the carrier than the location.

i wanted to know if how people advertise their network as the best for their uses that they really don't show that effort to get those people with the types of internet plans they sell. i just wonder if even though there is price per gb that people find out, they can compare the isps to how they price mbs

well in a lot of cases they don't have to because the ISPs have geographical monopolies that is to say that only i ISP is allowed to operate in a particular location.

i know that monopolys take over specific regions and tell the others that they can have the other states to fight for and the ones that have none will stay like that until all isps are happy and the lucky isp gets that state.
