Is there a comprehensive guide/benchmarks to graphics cards out there?

Just wondering if anyone has come across a really comprehensive benchmarks to graphics card from say the 8800gts upto the recent 290x ideally all real world ( i really really hate synthetic benchmarks ).

Reason i ask is often myself and many other people i know get offered a  graphics card either free or really cheap

or perhaps even a picture showing comparisons for each generation say such as the amd 5870 is about equivalent to the 560/ 6950 and the more modern 650ti/ 7850 (just using that as a example not to sure if thats the case  )

cheers

I love Toms Hardware. Here are a few links that I always use:

The second one has many choices to pick from.

I'd look at anandtech's benchmarks. They have 3 versions, the 2014, 2013, and 2012, which is a bit annoying. However, they do have a lot of benchmarks, both real-world and synthetic ones (although you weren't interested in synthetic benchmarks).

Here's a link to the 2014 one. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/GPU14/815

cheers toms hardware is pretty good not sure why they use mafia 2  but still pretty comprehensive

anandtech one i like to pretty cool to the cpu one though do have some benchmarks missing for some processor
