im building a build and im getting a 3930k hopefully overclocking to around 4.5ghz and i was wondering iff the asus p9x79 would do a good job overclocking, not the pro or the deluxe just the normal version thanks guys!
Yes - generally, Asus makes very good boards for overclocking with great stability. I have my 3770k @ 4.8gHz on my Asus Maximus V Formula stable @ 1.35 volts.

Generally, it is. I've seen people take their 3820s and 3930ks to 5Ghz with this board
the standard board or the pro/deluxe?
I'm mostly seeing the Pro/ Deluxe version
