Is SSI-MEB a obsolete / dead form factor?

Thanks to the advent of EPYC and massive Core Counts in one chip, is the need for SSI-MEB Mobo’s obsolete / dead?

I haven’t really seen many or any new enterprise boards that need that MoBo form factor. With modern minitaurization of electronics, it seems like SSI-EEB does the job just fine.

Any MoBo’s that I see for SSI-MEB seems to be for older platforms.

Do you folks have any thoughts on that?

Pretty much AMD only supports 2 cpus on epyc pretty sure. Intel not sure, but they are going to have a hard time selling that for sure. (there are none 4 cpu boards in that from factor but that was probably the driving factor.)
