Currently I am looking to purchase a graphics card for a desktop PC that I am going to upgrade. After looking over at the dealzon page, I realized that Jet.com is selling a Asus Strix RX 470 for $144 - $20 rebate. However, before looking at the dealzon page, I had never heard of Jet.com before.
So the questions I would like to ask are: Has anyone purchased anything from Jet.com and had a good/bad experience with them?
How are warranties handled by Jet.com? I have heard that if the order is fulfilled by reputable vendors like Newegg, the warranty is fine, but how often are the orders handled by vendors which ASUS will offer warranties for?
Can I expect to receive back the rebate from ASUS, without it being completely ignored?
PS: The system I will be updating is a Q9400 computer which I currently own.
EDIT: For anyone reading this in the future, I ordered a EVGA 600B PSU and a Corsair 100R case from Jet.com with no problems. The PSU came from a smaller vendor which is not on EVGA's list of where to buy(for warranties), but due EVGA's excellent warranty support I should still receive a 3 year warranty anyhow.
Buying from Jet.com is a solid "meh" experience not as good as Amazon or Newegg but also not as bad as B&H. This was however before their financial issues came to light, so I could not saw what they are like now. As for warranties that is largely handled by the manufacturer, ASUS in your case. You will get the rebate for the card eventually when you submit it to ASUS, but don't hold your breath as rebates can take a LONG time to get back to you.
I used them once for my nexus 6p. It was slow-ish but not bad considering the price. I think you pay more if you want free return shipping otherwise you pay return shipping yourself, I could be wrong about that but i seem to remember it for some reason. I never had to return anything to them. The manufacturers warranty should be good from any retailer at the time of purchase, shouldnt matter who you bought it from.
MIR is always a crapshoot, dont buy something just for the rebate, sure its nice to get money back but its usually more effort than its worth. They make it this way intentionally.
They aren't too bad. I bought my fury x from their site. As others have said get it from other retailers if the price is the same.
On a different note @Aldegund, (correct me if I wrong @Streetguru) I have heard that Asus and some other brand(powercolor/gigabyte) have a wired PCB design that makes the card run hotter than other cards.
