I'm not trying to be flippant here, but only you can decide if its worth the cost.
I would, but $75 may be more to you then me?
Edit to add: that whole post makes me sound like a cock.....but I hope you get what im saying.
I wouldn't get crucial but yes. Generally speaking Windows 7/Vista is a memory density hog, it uses approximately 4 times the memory Windows XP did at idle. Typically without at least 1.6GB of free RAM space for the background services, WIndows 7 starts to act like a pig.
Hell no, go buy some ram online for half the price and install it your self if you need more ram.
no need to waste money.

Its cheaper. And your thinkpad will downlock it to 1066.
Ive never tried this brand of ram, though.
So it will downclock and not just not work with the thinkpad? Thats my biggest concern.
If I can use 1333 I will go with this since I get free 2 day shipping.
http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-1333mhz-PC3-10666-204-pin-CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9/dp/B002YUF8ZG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375919424&sr=8-1&keywords=laptop+ram
Or since it will downclock I could get the previos RAM as its CL is lower.
Yes it will down clock, I would go with Corsair over Crucial.
Whats wrong with Crucial?
Their product quality is not as it was in the days of DDR 500 MHz as it is today. They generally have more product failures and a lower life expectancy than any other brand.
Nothing is wrong with Crucial, But Corsair hardware is topnotch and they have excellent lifetime warranty on all DRAM memory modules
Tell that to the 2 1GB sticks of DDR 400 MHz Crucial RAM that I bought for an old Celeron D PC I had laying around that only lasted 1 year before they failed.
OK prop them in front of your monitor and I will tell them face to face!!! ;)!
I can only go by my experience, and its not be BAD with Crucial, but its has been good with Corsair
If you havent already got a SSD for the laptop then that would be a much wiser purchase than memory that you will struggle to ever utilize.
I thought about it but the guy I bought it from already upgraded the hard drive to a 7200rpm 750 gig hard drive and I guess that was part of my purchase price.
An SSD would deffinately be a bigger upgrade. More expencive, but Several times faster than your 7200 RPM drive.
You will get an insanely improved performance.
